Play Therapy: Parenting & Children

When a child hurts, the family hurts. We provide services to begin the healing for the child as well as the family.

At 31 Stories, LLC we provide a safe, emotionally neutral setting in which we can help the child work through her/his thoughts and feelings.

We believe that parents are the most significant adults in their child’s life, and work to incorporate the parent into the therapy process, creating results likely to be more positive, profound, and longer-lasting.

We offer feedback and recommendations to the child’s caregivers based on the emotional needs and developmental capacity of the child.

Teens and Pre-teens: Learning to change their worlds inside and out.

At 31 stories we empower teens and pre-teens to live productive, responsible and respectful lives. We assist them in areas such as self-esteem, body-image, relationships, gossip, cliques, bullying, aggression, anxiety and peer pressure.

Depression, anxiety, abuse, and bullying behaviors can all bring up feelings, thoughts, and emotions that pre/teens are not yet ready to deal with alone. We provide a place where the pre/teen feels heard, cared for, and safe, and help them to find healthy ways to live, building stronger relationships with self and others.

We believe that parents are part of a vital support system for the pre/teen. We work to incorporate the parent into the therapy process, creating stronger family relationships and results that may last a lifetime.
